Peanut Dickey

August 10, 2007 — April 21, 2025

Peanut was small in size but mighty in presence—a beloved member of the Dickey family whose personality, loyalty, and quirks brought joy every single day.

Say the word “ride” and Peanut was already at the door, ready for an adventure. He loved nothing more than cruising with his head out the window, fur flying in the wind, soaking in the world one sniff at a time. His favorite toy—a bright orange pretzel—was a lifelong favorite, going through nearly 20 over the years as he chewed with pure delight.

Known as “the perimeter patrol” in his younger years, Peanut took great pride in walking the fence line, keeping watch over his yard. He was a true companion, always by his family’s side—especially during vacations to Tim’s Ford Lake where he swam, soaked up the sun, and rode the boat like a pro.

At home, he was dad’s loyal couch buddy, especially when it came to helping clean out ice cream bowls. And since March of 2020, he never missed a work-from-home day, faithfully curled up under mom’s desk, the most loyal and loving coworker anyone could ask for.

Though little, Peanut ruled the house with gentle confidence, always the boss over his siblings—Buddy, Dixie, and sweet Teena, who passed in 2019.

Peanut’s passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of his parents, Jason and Farrah Dickey, and his fur brothers Thor and Dobby. He was truly one of a kind—a best friend, a protector, a source of endless love and joy.

Rest easy, sweet Peanut. You will always be missed, always be loved, and never be forgotten.
