It is with deep sorrow and endless love that we share the passing of our beloved Gizzy, a precious 1.5-pound Chihuahua who filled our hearts and home with joy for 11 unforgettable years.
Gizzy came into our lives as a tiny 6-week-old foster pup from a breeder, and it was love at first sight. Though the intention was to foster, it quickly became clear that Gizzy had found his forever home — and we had found a forever companion. The smallest of all the pups we cared for, he left the biggest imprint on our hearts.
Spoiled in all the best ways, Gizzy loved his treats, snuggles, and especially car rides with Mom and Dad. He slept by my side every night, always needing to be close — my second skin, my shadow, my constant. Whether I was in the garden or just walking around the house, Gizzy was always there. To him, there was no place better than wherever Mama was.
Gizzy’s best friend was Lucky, our gentle Lab, who welcomed him from the very beginning and shared four beautiful years of friendship. When Gizzy became ill, I reminded him not to be afraid — that Lucky would be waiting to guide him home to Heaven. And as I held him in my arms on his final ride, his little heart, though tired from its long journey, was full of love and peace.
Gizzy passed away on the way to the vet, cradled in the arms of the one who loved him most. Though his body could no longer stay, his spirit is everywhere — in the sunbeams on the floor, the quiet corners of the garden, and the warmth in every memory.
Run free, sweet Gizzy. Lucky is waiting. Until we meet again, you'll forever be in our hearts.
